Finding the Right Provider

Once you've made the decision to receive injectable skincare treatments, the next step is to choose a provider. While your options will likely be narrowed down to practitioners who are near your location, it is important to do your research and compare a few options.

Though elective, injectable treatments are medical treatments.

It is crucial that you take the time to look at the websites of any providers you are considering, read reviews, and feel comfortable gathering a list of questions that you wish to ask them BEFORE committing to utilize their services.

Questions for a potential provider may include dosing information and how they treat complications, post-procedure.

Their social media accounts are only going to share the success stories, but it is okay to ask about what complications they've seen in other patients and how they were able to manage.

Should you decide to schedule a consultation, assess the practitioner's office and the willingness of the staff to answer questions and ensure your comfort. Just as we expect cleanliness from the restaurants that prepare our food, we should expect cleanliness in our medical providers' offices, as well. Not only should the staff be more than willing to answer your questions, but they should be asking you questions of their own.

Again, this is a medical procedure. Therefore, asking you questions about your medical history is a key component to your consultation.

Lastly, be sure and trust your gut when it comes to red flags. Though it may be inticing to try and find the "best deal" when it comes to treatment options, avoid price shopping at the expense of your own health and safety. It is also smart to stear clear of "pop-up" treatment centers, as it is always best to receive treatment from a well-established facility that is easy to track. If you find that a provider is hesitant to answer your questions or offer information, this is something to consider, as well. When it comes to your body, comfort and safety should always take priority!

With Love,

Melissa
