Your Self Care Summer Cocktail with a touch of Aesthetics

Uncategorized Jun 09, 2021

Let me start with this: a Self Care Cocktail is not exactly a fancy drink, like a Martini or Margarita. (However, since a self-indulgent drink can help us feeling pampered, the traditional cocktails can be implemented from time to time - with the optional little umbrellas.)

But what does Self Care actually mean when it comes to Aesthetics?

Self Care in Aesthetics is a "blend" of measures, tools, and tasks that help in providing you a rested, rejuvenated, and healthy natural look.

Here is my recipe that may be modified to your personal preferences:

1. A big dose of consideration of your unique needs in the here and now. Everyone has different needs at different times of their lives. There are many factors to be considered, like age, gender, skin type, diet, and lifestyle. It is a good idea to assess these areas of your present life and see what is missing, what can be improved and how.

2. A special blend of Aesthetics treatments. No matter what the trends are or what the latest Social Media hype is about, not every treatment is for everyone. Before setting your heart and mind on a treatment, ask yourself this question: what is the most important thing to me personally this time? Is it skin rejuvenation? Is it rehydration? Is it removal of something like skin tags or brown spots - or maybe adding something that makes sense, like fillers or Botox?

3. A splash of information on products. Being properly informed about everything you put on your skin and under your skin is part of a wholesome Self Care recipe. There is an arsenal of products out there - it is a great idea to have a conversation with your Aesthetics provider about your personal needs when it comes to creams, serums, and other products, tools, and techniques you use at home so it can be aligned and work in synergy with your professional Aesthetics treatments.

4. Water, water, water! I do not mean to dilute our Self Care Cocktail, but without the ice, it will become warm and icky-sticky in no time. All tricks and tips (no matter how well researched, planned, and bought with care) will not have the efficiency and results they promise if you stay dehydrated. Drinking enough water may not be considered an Aesthetics treatment, but I wholeheartedly believe that it is an organic part of it all. It influences your aging process, the quality of your skin, and your metabolism besides other physical factors that all play important roles on your Aesthetics journey.

I hope you will enjoy this Summer Self Care cocktail, and if you feel like sharing one with me and my community, we are running a Summer Skin Scavenger Hunt this week. You can join us here and get have the staples you need to have healthy, rejuvenated, and glowing skin this summer.

Have a wonderful day!

Melissa
