Can Tracking Your Treatments Save You Money?

Uncategorized May 03, 2021

Keeping track of your aesthetic treatments can be so helpful in how you make progress and where you direct time and money in self-care.

Here are a couple of questions to ask yourself that will allow you to understand the needs for keeping track.

  • Have you ever felt like your lips deflated too soon? And wondered if you metabolize products so much faster than others or the time expected?
  • Have you lost track of time and realized you have unwanted movement in your face? And now it's going to be several weeks before you can get into your injectors?
  • Or do you find yourself comparing injectors dosing and how much to use?
  • Maybe you have had a treatment and wondered if it even made any difference at all? BTW - this is a big and common one.

Here are a few steps on keeping track of all and any of your aesthetic treatments.

  1. Take a close-up photo of yourself. Use natural light and free of any makeup. Keep in mind this photo is just for your self-documentation and should only be arm's length apart and free of any elongation of your face, filters, or expression.
  2.  Second, isolate an area and take a photo of the part that is being treated. For example, if you are getting botox- snap a photo of your expression that shows the wrinkles you want to tackle.
  3. Dedicate an area on your phone that will document details of your treatment.  So this is the part where you ask your injector or aesthetic professional how many units used, the volume of filler, or techniques used in the procedure.

Keeping track of your treatments and photos allows you to see the progress of your treatments.

Oftentimes, patients will forget what they looked like before. If you are able to compare side-by-side photos of progress in your own home, this can help you see the actual progress of the treatments placed.

Also, there are times when a patient will find themselves seeing multiple injectors or trying variable products - this too will help in comparing what works best for your self-care regimen.
